CREATE-NET (Center for REsearch And Telecommunication Experimentation for NETworked communities) is a non-profit international organization with core competences in advanced communication technologies, with special emphasis in broadband, pervasive, wireless, networked multimedia, smart environments and security technologies. CREATE-NET manages top-level collaboration and strategic alliances for integrating global key partners in research and development actions. Through an advanced testbed infrastructure, CREATE-NET research activities are the basic driver for the development of emerging sophisticated applications and services and their testing in a realistic global scale operational environment. In particular, Multimedia and Interactive Smart Environments group activity pursues research and development for creating future ambient intelligence applications enhancing people well-being. Specific focus of our research is in the area of intelligent environments, body area networks, activity monitoring, context and location aware technologies, mobility, distributed sensors, ubiquitous computing, security and privacy.
